Background:
As far as Aunt Broken Fang is concerned, the only background that matters is that she changed, was rescued by her alphas, and now is part of her beloved family. She’s willing to regale the “little ones” with tales of her human life from time to time, but most of the details (including her human name) are known only by her alphas.

Born in Oklahoma in 1946 as the only girl in a poor family, Broken Fang (not her name at the time) grew up fist fighting, shooting cans, and performing manual labor with her brothers. Her grandfather, a retired sheriff and habitual drunkard, often told her with tales of gunfights in the twilight days of the West. From a young age, Broken Fang wanted to be a police officer and applied as a young woman. Unfortunately, it was not a time of gender equality and she found herself doing clerical work and dispatch calls. After nearly a decade of service, regulations changed to finally allow women to patrol. However, cultural values were slow to change and female officers were required to wear skirts and keep their gun and handcuffs in a purse. Hated and mocked by her counterparts and passed over repeatedly for promotion, Broken Fang became hypercompetent for fear of being sent back to a desk. She was an able, by-the-book officer largely without friends in the department or a social life. In 1976, as a 30 year old patrol officer, she was involved in a firefight that saw her shot in the lower right arm, stomach, and (non-fatally) in the left side of the face, damaging one of her canines. Despite her wounds, she was able to hold her ground, killing one of the perpetrators and pinning down the others until backup arrived. What followed was a difficult recovery - one made all the more difficult after an article in the local newspaper depicted her as a damsel in distress rescued by male officers. When confronted, her commander told her that she wasn’t remembering events properly on account of “hysteria” and would be permanently removed from patrol duties on account of her wounds. Enraged, she tendered her badge.

During a follow-up surgery, Broken Fang was given a blood transfusion. At the time, blood donations were poorly screened and one pint had come from a werewolf. During her first full moon, Broken Fang transformed and killed one of her neighbors, an abusive husband who she had confronted repeatedly in the past. She partly ate the body, both out of the wolf’s hunger and the human’s hatred. Confused and terrified in the aftermath, she took to the road, heading west and avoiding the law. As the transformations continued, her fraying sanity proved less and less capable of restraining her inner wolf. During Broken Fang’s third full moon, a child made the mistake of entering her motel room. The little girl screamed even as the transformed Broken Fang tried to calm her. Always cool under stress, she came to a simple conclusion: she couldn’t leave a witness to her transformations, not even a child. She quickly killed the little girl and fled. Wracked with guilt, her human psyche collapsed completely and her wolf took over, taking her into the Colorado foothills.

Six months later, she was found naked, filthy, and half-starved by the recently married Stidolphs, an ambitious pair of Ulfhednar seeking to build their own pack. Partly out of pity and partly because a psychologically broken werewolf would be a pliable recruit, they decided to “rehabilitate” Broken Fang. In the wake of a miserable police career, her transformations, and two murders, she was desperate for a new identity and found everything that she could have possibly wanted in her new “family.” The Stidolphs were delighted when she even rejected her own name, taking the new one given to her: “Broken Fang.” She took well to what she was taught, merging her inner wolf with the fragmented remnants of her human personality. In turn, she taught her new alphas about police procedure, surveillance, and firearms. Before long, the Stidolphs’ lies were matched and then exceeded by their true feelings. Broken Fang became a beloved sister and they trusted her absolutely.

The newly formed Western branch of the Stidolph family, still only three members, made their debut in 1979 by taking over a number of small-time human gangs and killing those who refused to submit. With her new mindset, Broken Fang now found that killing was genuinely enjoyable, doubly so since it was in service of her new “family.” The more she killed, the more she came to enjoy it. As werewolves flocked to the Stidolphs’ banner, her duties expanded to training young werewolves and leading small groups, tasks that she enjoyed as much as bloodshed and torture. Success brought new challenges – invasions from bigger human criminal organizations, other Ulfhednar packs vying for territory, werewolf hunters, and even the Cinophali. Broken Fang performed ably, earning herself a reputation for viciousness and, more importantly, for loyalty. There are a lot of rumors (most of which are true) regarding some of her kills over the years. She’s happy to share a story with her “little ones” after dinner, but tries not to brag.

By family tradition, when the leading Stidolphs had their first children, brother and sister fraternal twins, they followed a family-based rank system using “father” and “mother” to refer the alpha pair and “aunt” and “uncle” to refer to betas and other officers. “Aunt” Broken Fang, as she was now known, was encouraged in her new role by the alpha pair, who knew that awakening her maternal instincts would forever seal her loyalty. Yet even in the midst of manipulating her, they trusted and loved Aunt Broken Fang as a sister – a bond rare among the Ulfhednar. Aunt Broken Fang was loved by the older children, who took well to her teachings, but formed a particularly close bond to Jonas, the youngest who was often ignored by his parents in favor of his overachieving siblings. She wishes that he could find the same happiness that she has in serving the family and cares very deeply for him.

At the present time, the Stidolph Family although a large family, is scattered across the world in small, insular packs, with the Western branch of the family in control much of the vice and smuggling in Rocky Mountains through an empire of gangs, vassal packs, and small towns. With their newest territory secure and at relative peace, the Stidolphs have grand ambitions of a unified, well-organized Ulfhednar Clan collaborating in the interests of bigger profits and more power. The first step, however, is to build trust with the clan elders.  While there had been a Stidolph Elder already present in the city, he was an aging outsider more interested in amusing himself with hedonistic pursuits, not shoring up the family’s power in the city with the world’s largest werewolf population.

TL; DR VERSION
Imagine that Paula Deen and Hannibal Lecter had a tomboy daughter who works for werewolf Don Corleone. Aunt Broken Fang’s past isn’t too terribly important aside from the fact that she’s a grandmotherly redneck mafia enforcer with a penchant for killing, cuddling, and cooking who is very much in harmony with her inner wolf.

Fun Facts:

-Loves good food and cooking. Is known to include human meat in her meals and enjoys hosting dinners for her fellow werewolves.

-Technophobic of anything made after 1990 and is very, very hesitant to use cell phones or even landlines

-Loves American steel, especially big trucks, big guns, and big knives

-Refers to her trusted subordinates as “little one” and is very gentle in dealings with other Ulfhednar

-Fond of country music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd, but also has a place in her heart for late 70s and early 80s heavy metal

-Drives an ‘86 Chevrolet Suburban and utterly hates foreign cars. She knows enough to maintain (and hotwire) older vehicles, but is hopeless with newer models.

-Has a ravenous appetite due to daily shifts, long working hours, and regular use of her berserker form

-Has a taste for good cigars, good beer, and good bourbon, but only in moderation (and is probably the only Ulf on the face of the earth to even have a concept of “moderation”)

You can read about Auntie "Classic" here:

Learning the Family BusinessCold wind blows across the mountains and the interstate, scattering the snowflakes like scared lambs.  It cuts through my sheepskin coat and even my very pelt like an icy razor.
Great way to start my first war.
My brother is out hunting our rivals' hired thugs and I get four hour long guard shifts in the motel parking lot, cold steel of the fifty caliber AK cradled in my arms.  Icy black asphalt sends the cold right up my legs, my pawpads barely offering any defense.  I walk back and forth, trying to get my blood moving.  I'm skinny by werewolf standards, even if humans just see me as another hulking monster.
The thugs from New Denver must be absolutely freezing.  We hunt wild game in the mountains, even through sleet and snow.  We learn not to tolerate cold.  When we're not doing typical lupine stuff, we're helping smugglers with their cargo – illegal guns, illicit liquor going into Lunar Knights' territory in Utah, stolen Old World tech, drugs
